Boy O Boys, he’s a star

ALBURY kart driver Jordan Boys has reigned in Spain to become the No. 3 driver in the world.
Boys took out a podium finish in DD2, finishing third at the Rotax World Final in Valencia at the weekend.
His performance also helped lift Team Australia to second place in the Nations Cup.
After torrential rain forced the cancellation of the pre-final races, Boys started third on the grid, thanks to his earlier performances.
The former Norske Skog Young Achiever of the Year nominee said he knew he was a chance for a top 10 finish.
“I didn’t think I could be on the podium and challenging for the win — third place feels awesome,” he said from Spain yesterday.
“It was very tough competition, my battle up front was with current and former European champions as well as world champions.
“My goal is still to make it to V8 Supercars, and hopefully next year I can make some steps to get closer to that goal.”
Boys was beaten by Sean Babington (UAE) and Ben Cooper (Canada).
The final caps a successful year with Boys winning the Rotax Pro Tour Jason Richards Memorial Cup at Geelong in May.
